How are chapters found in plain text?
Blank-line breaks and lines that look like chapter headings are used as boundaries. Text with no structure at all becomes one continuous chapter.
Which encodings are supported?
UTF-8 is safest. Legacy encodings usually convert, but odd characters are the first sign the file needs re-saving as UTF-8.
Can I set a title and author?
The filename becomes the title. Editing the metadata afterwards is a job for a desktop ebook editor.
